Abstract:
This document is an English-language translation of an original statement made by the witness. Weixler was a prisoner of the Gestapo for almost a year and a half, imprisoned on the charge of treason for having taken photographs of the "parachute enterprise" in Crete, in 1941, during which most of the male population of a small village was summarily executed for allegedly having killed German parachutists. The document is a typewritten original of very good quality on slightly browning paper.
