This document is a summary of the late-afternoon interrogation of 8 October 1945, the transcript of which appears earlier in this volume of the Donovan Archive; see document 35.02 (Goering interrogation transcript, 8 Oct.'45) #3: "Testimony of Hermann Goering, taken at Nuremberg, Germany, on 8 October 1945, from 4:30 PM to 5 PM, by Colonel John H. Amen, IGD, OUSCC." This summary describes the administration of the Reich Ministry for Forestry and reports Goering's denial of any knowledge that the Nazi post-war insurgency against the Allies made use of the forests. It also reflects Goering's general disavowal of knowledge or responsibility for the execution of recaptured POWs under Action Kugel. This document is a typewritten copy of fair quality on browning paper.
