Abstract:
This document is a summary of an interrogation of Hjalmar Schacht. The summary covers Schacht's career, first as a banker, then as president of the Reichsbank, and finally as the master financier of Germany's rearmament during the 1930s. It is not clear whether the interrogation merely surveyed Schacht's career in overview, or if the present summary has limited itself to gleaning these particular elements from a more detailed interview. This document is a typewritten copy on fairly stable paper.
