This document is a summary of an interrogation of Baldur von Schirach, in which the witness recounts his career as Gauleiter of Vienna. His chief task in this position, as he describes it here, was to mediate between the Vienese and the Germans nationals in Vienna, as well as to recuperate the cultural life of the city. As for Hitler's order to transplant Vienna's Jews, von Schirach admits that he accepted the order and "cooperated with the higher SS and police leaders but denied any participation in the transplantation of the Jews" (p.2). This document is a typewritten copy. Page 1 is browning and fragile; page 2 is generally stable.
