- Abstract:
- This document is a typeset, single-spaced narrative history of the career of Heinrich Himmler. The account is highly detailed, particularly concerning the major events of the Nazi Party's rise to and seizure of power, Himmler's personal qualities and political savvy, the formation and development of the SS, Himmler's consolidation of power over the entirety of the German police, and Himmler's involvement, through the SS and Gestapo, in the preparation for and conduct of the war. The print quality is excellent overall, although the ink seems to have faded on some pages. The paper is of excellent quality and, despite some traces of browning, remains in very good condition. Another copy of this document constitutes the entirety of Volume CIII of the Donovan Archive.
