59.02 (Bracken memo)
This document is a memo defining the uniform dress code for "all U.S. Naval and Coast Guard personnel attached to the Office of the U.S. Chief of Counsel." The dress code specifies that "the only uniform authorized for wear in this theatre is the Service Dress Blue uniform" and provides an itemized description ofthat uniform, including options. The memo states that other Navy uniforms can be worn "only where the nature of the work is such that blues cannot be worn without excessive soiling." Authorized personnel, however, are permitted to wear Aviation Greens. This document is a typewritten copy on good paper. It bears the original handwritten signature in blue ink of John P. Bracken.
