This document is a draft of Neumann's summary account of Sauckel's role in the Nazi seizure of power, first as Gauleiter and subsequently as Reich Governor of Thuringia. Under the Four Year Plan and wielding all the powers of the Minister of Labor, Sauckel was responsible for the deportation of foreign laborers to Germany, as well as their treatment in Germany.
