61.04 (Donovan memo to Jackson, 29 October 1945)
This memo warns of a potential danger in the courtroom, which Donovan believes the defendants pose: "when left alone they might be a mean of placing articles of inconvenience to those present at the trial." Donovan also believes "there is danger of an accident in that part of the building, which ... had taken a real bombing" and suggests a "thorough inspection of the premises in every respect by ... Army engineers." This document is initialed, "By JES" in the lower left corner, indicating that the readable handwriting is not Donovan's. The document is an original manuscript of very good legibility on very brown ruled paper.
