61.01 (Lilje memo, 23 October 1945)
English; no translator's name is given.,
This memo pertains to its author's efforts to write an account of "the Church under the Nazi regime" and how that effort is being thwarted by a lack of the necessary documents. Two handwritten notations, both made in pencil and not matching the author's signature (made in blue ink), are legible at the bottom of the page. On the left side, enclosed in a penciled rectangle, is "Bishop Wurm / Stuttgart"; on the right side, below the author's signature, is "Canaris nephew" followed by what appears to be a circled question mark. This document is a typewritten original of good quality on slightly browning paper in generally good condition.
